About the Employer

Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB): This is a key competitive examination board in various Indian states, most notably Tamil Nadu (TN TRB).

  • Purpose: The primary goal of the TRB exam is to recruit qualified teachers for government schools and colleges.

  • Function: They conduct competitive exams to fill teaching vacancies, ensuring that competent educators are placed in key roles.

  • Exam Details: TRB exams typically involve a written examination (often OMR-based with objective and subjective questions), and a Tamil Language Eligibility Test (for applicable candidates), followed by certificate verification for shortlisted candidates.

  • Eligibility: Generally, candidates need a bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed) for school positions and post-graduate qualifications for college-level positions. Age limits and relaxations vary by position and category.

  • Recent Activity (TN TRB): The TN TRB recently released results for the Secondary Grade Teacher Recruitment Exam 2024, held on July 21, 2024, to fill 1,768 teacher vacancies. They also have an annual recruitment planner for various teaching positions.

In summary, when you hear "TRB," it most commonly refers to either the Teachers Recruitment Board (especially in the context of Indian education and job recruitment) or the Transportation Research Board (in the context of transportation research and policy). Given your current location in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, it's highly probable you are referring to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB).
